The Silver Bullion Referral Program

Why we cannot offer substantial referral fees

The Silver Bullion approach is to offer our clients:

  3. Client metal ownership that prevents encumbrance by us*

Because investment precious metals markets are very competitive, the margins, when transparently offered to clients, are too small for Silver Bullion to pay substantial referral fees compared to other asset classes, including most financial products.

For example, a kilo gold bar tends to have a premium / margin of less than 0.5% which must cover casting, logistics, insurance, security charges, leaving very small commissions for possible referrers.

Furthermore, because client bullion is always legally owned by clients and not on our balance sheet, this bullion cannot be encumbered by us (e.g. leased out, used as collateral for loan to us or utilized as inventory) which is an otherwise common practice in the industry.

We are aware that some companies in the industry are able to offer high referral fees (up to 1%) but such solutions tend to selectively charge clients 4 to 6 times higher sales or storage fees or have other monetisation mechanism to enable such referral fees. Such an approach is not compatible with our company ethos.
