How much physical gold and silver in your portfolio?
Prospective clients have always asked us: how much gold should I own during times of geopolitical upheaval in many regions across the globe? What about silver, which is potentially more volatile but has more upside?
The answer varies depending on your risk appetite, how much assets you own and what other investment plans you have in the future. While there is no hard and fast rule, we always inform our clients to not use too much leverage. We do have the peer to peer lending program if you need some capital unlocked, and even then the maximum loan to value (LtV) ratio for silver is capped at 50%.
One should also consider owning some platinum, which is still trending at multi-year lows at USD 952 per ounce.
