Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) 100 Ringgit gold coin features Malaysia's Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman. The very first 100 Ringgit gold coin of Malaysia issued on 30th August 1971 by Bank Negara Malaysia to commemorate the 13 years in office of Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. The obverse of this coin has a portrait of Tunku, the words "TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN PUTRA AL-HAJ BAPA MALAYSIA" and the year 1971. Mintage 100,000. The reverse shows the Parliament House building, the crescent and star, and the denomination of 100 Ringgit.
